Wolves Updates 7/24

From the Star Tribune:
Hudson has three years remaining at nearly $19 million. Hudson is believed to be seeking 85 to 90 percent of his remaining contract in a buyout settlement, but the Wolves' initial offer last week was for a much lower figure. Complicating matters is the fact that Hudson's final year is dependent upon him reaching a number of incentives during the 2008-09 season.

Hudson would become an unrestricted free agent if a buyout is reached and he clears waivers. If not, Neff said his client would return to the team.

John Schuhmann/NBA.com projects Corey Brewer to finish 5th in next season's rookie rankings.
Like Durant with Lewis, how Brewer does in his rookie year could depend on whether or not Kevin Garnett is still with the Wolves. Either way, Brewer should put up solid all-around numbers and be one of the best defensive players among rookies.

From Sam Alipour/ESPN:
Matt Leinart's first annual "Bowling with the Stars," to benefit his new namesake charity, is where L.A.'s jocks and celebrities collide. Malibu resident Kevin Garnett is bowling with Nick Lachey and Captain Morgan (yeah, some dude in a pirate suit), Serena Williams enjoys the festivities, and Leinart commends Stacy Keibler for bowling a 70, which is "good for a girl," he says.
