Wolves Updates 7/22

Fox Sports on celebrities at David Beckham's debut with the LA Galaxy on Saturday:
Stars such as Jennifer Love Hewitt, Eva Longoria, and Duran Duran poured in as well as basketball star Kevin Garnett who told me that it was "definitely his first soccer game."

From Charley Walters/Pioneer Press:
Pssst: The Timberwolves have made an offer to buy out the contract of oft-injured guard Troy Hudson, who is guaranteed $18.5 million for the next three seasons. The Wolves have been unable to trade Hudson.

But the offer is considered extremely low, and Hudson hasn't accepted it.

They made their pitch for Kevin Garnett, who would have welcomed a trade here, multiple sources said. Minnesota told the Nets no thanks.

From Sporting News:
Cyclones legends such as Jeff Hornacek, Jeff Grayer, Victor Alexander, Fred Hoiberg and Lafester Rhodes, along with former coaches Johnny Orr and Larry Eustachy, dusted off their high tops for Iowa State's All-Star Celebrity Game, a charity event for former Cyclones star Barry Stevens.
