Wolves Updates 7/18

Garnett, along with Serena Williams, was in attendance on Tuesday watching James Blake play at the Countrywide Classic tennis tournament.
“I knew they were coming out, and it was fun to see them,” Blake said after the match. “They waited for me afterward, and they were happy to see me win.”

After meeting Garnett through the NBA star’s agent, the pair became close friends.

On the road with the Timberwolves Caravan, Ricky Davis talks about last season:
"But it is tough to win when you don't have chemistry," Davis continued. "We just have to keep trying to put the right guys together out there. We also need all of us to put our egos aside and play together. That's something that has to get started from Day 1 of (training camp)."

Luke Schenscher joined the Australia Post Boomers on Wednesday after playing for the Wolves in the Vegas summer league.

From Marcus Thompson II/Contra Costa Times:
Never mind that the Warriors are losing a fall-back plan each day. The Warriors are waiting until this whole Kevin Garnett thing plays out, and they have as good a shot as any team of landing him. It is the right move, too.

From AP Sports:
Former NBA star Vin Baker has pleaded not guilty to a drunken driving charge. The 35-year-old Baker appeared today in Norwich Superior Court in Connecticut.
