Corey Brewer on his Florida teammates:
"Sure I'm going to miss those guys," he said. "But we all get along fine here. I'm not too worried about it."

Brewer on Chris Richard's chances of making the team:
"Chris is a force," Brewer said. "From what I've heard, he's definitely going to make it. They like his size and his rebounding."

From Inside The Lakers:
The Daily News' Matt Kredell reports that Kevin Garnett was at UCLA yesterday, watching some tennis. Garnett told Matt that he's friends with Mardy Fish, who was playing a match against Sam Querrey. Garnett wouldn't give up any information about whether he might be staying in L.A. on a longer-term basis...

From NBA.com:
As part of NBA Europe Live presented by EA SPORTS™, the city of Istanbul will welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves in October 2007 for training camp and a game against Efes Pilsen, one of Euroleague Basketball´s most successful teams. This will mark the first time that an NBA team will play a game in the country. The Timberwolves will hold training camp in Istanbul from Oct. 1-5 and will play a game against Efes at the Abdi Ipekci Sports Hall on Oct. 6.

Tom Hanneman on the golf skills of Ricky Davis and Mark Madsen:
"Ricky Davis is a scorer on the court and on the golf course. Mark Madsen will give you the same type of total effort on the golf course as he does with basketball. Well ... on the basketball court, he's experienced and can bring you some things, but on the golf course ... not so much."
