Wolves Updates 8/1

Rick Alonzo/Pioneer Press on the team's buyout of Troy Hudson's contract:
Hudson even received a visit at his Twin Cities home from Garnett, a longtime friend, on Monday night, Neff said. And Garnett put in a good word to the Celtics on Hudson's behalf, Neff said. Celtics executive Danny Ainge spoke with Neff today about Hudson.

It's possible Hudson could sign with Boston, although Neff and his client haven't decided how much money they will seek in a new deal...

Michael Rand/Star Tribune on Al Jefferson:
In fact, Wolves owner Glen Taylor said Tuesday he hopes to work out a contract extension for Jefferson, who can become a restricted free agent at the end of the 2007-08 season. "My guess is yes we would do that during the year," Taylor said, "as he is probably the most important part of this trade."

The Star Tribune's CJ talks to the Boston Herald about Garnett:
C.J. tells a funny story about how KG broke his little niece and nephews’ basketball hoop in their playroom.
“Can you imagine him playing to win with a toy hoop,” she laughed. “Yeah, I thank you all for taking our No. 1 athlete and giving us five nobodies. Thank you very much.”
