Updates Part II

Marc Stein/ESPN says there's been "very little Kevin Garnett chatter circulating in Vegas."
The most definitive declaration we can pass along is the view of one rival executive who says he knows "for a fact" that Minnesota remains intent on making a KG trade before the season starts.

From Tim Kawakami/Mercury News:
Small fact: THE WARRIORS HAVE SET UP THIS OFF-SEASON (actually set up several off-seasons in a row) IN ORDER TO CHASE KG.

I don’t type these KG items because I think it should happen (though I do think that). I type them because I’ve been told many times, by sources who absolutely know, that the Warriors have been closing in on a KG deal for months and months.

From Chad Ford/ESPN:
The NBA salary cap can be brutally unforgiving. Manage it well, as the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs have done over the last five years, and your team has a shot to remain relevant and competitive year after year. Mismanage it, as teams like the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves have done, and you have painted your team into a corner...
