Wolves sign Brewer

From Rick Alonzo/Pioneer Press:
The Timberwolves have signed first-round draft pick Corey Brewer, the team announced today.

Contract terms were not disclosed, but Brewer is set to make $2,113,100 next season and $2,271,600 in his second year under terms of the NBA's collective bargaining agreement. The team holds two one-year options after that. If the team exercises both options, Brewer is eligible to become a restricted free agent in 2011...

"We're really happy to bring a player and person of Corey's caliber into our franchise," said Kevin McHale, vice president of basketball operations. "He brings a lot to our team both defensively and offensively and will be a great fit with the talented young players on our roster."
