Wolves Updates 1/5

The Wolves talk about Mark Blount's performance during the last few games:
"Mark is probably the best offensive player we've had in that spot," Wolves vice president for basketball operations Kevin McHale said. "He's unique in that he can really shoot the ball well."

"He has been in a nice groove ... the last couple of weeks," Garnett said after the game. "I thought he played Timmy as well as I have seen him played."

"He's letting the game come to him," Wolves coach Dwane Casey said. "He's not forcing anything."

The Star Tribune also has a chart of Blount's numbers from the last six games.

Garnett continues to lead all Western Conference forwards in the third returns of the All-Star balloting.

John Schuhmann/NBA.com lists both Randy Foye and Craig Smith among his choice of rookies to send to the All-Star games.

Wally Szczerbiak on similarities between Paul Pierce and Garnett:
They're two different positions, but they approach the game like professionals and bring it every single night. They're both great players who make their teammates better and make their teams better. I've enjoyed playing with both of them.
