Wolves 90, Rockets 84

Making up for last week's 82-75 loss at Houston, Minnesota won a remarkably even game by refusing to let Yao dominate underneath as he has so many times this season — with Garnett, Mark Blount and Craig Smith all chipping in after Mark Madsen left with an early injury.

Box Score

Mad Dog left the game with a partially dislocated right shoulder during the first quarter after Dikembe Mutombo blocked his layup attempt. Madsen left the court clutching his elbow and did not return.

In a Rockets game on Saturday night, Mutombo elbowed Tracy McGrady in the first quarter. T-Mac suffered a concussion and also had to leave the game immediately after the incident.

Update:
According to Steve Aschburner/Star Tribune, it was Luther Head, not Dikembe, who stripped Mad Dog of the ball.
