Wolves Updates 7/27

Rashad McCants and Craig Smith of the Timberwolves will take part in a four-day NBA camp in Las Vegas this week run by Denver Nuggets assistant coach Tim Grgurich.


Asheville Citizen-Times on Bele Chere weekend:
Former Erwin High and UNC basketball star Rashad McCants highlights the weekend with an appearance at the “Shoot For a Cure” tournament. McCants, now a member of the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves, will emcee the event, wherein participants pay $1 for a half-court shot and a chance to win $10,000.

“It’s a fun event we’re bringing back. Luke Anderson on playing with the Wolves during the Las Vegas Summer League:
“It was a great experience,” Anderson said. “I would have liked to get more playing time, but I felt like I was being evaluated at practice, too. I took that (practice) time as my biggest opportunity.”
