Wolves Updates 6/7

The Basketball Jones with a special Finals preview podcast.

10,000 Takes makes a list of the most underrated things in Minnesota sports.

Charles Hallman/Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder compares the two teams who call the Target Center their home:
The Lynx has a plan. The Wolves don’t.

Kevin McHale on Tim Duncan as one of the best ever power forwards:
"With what he has done, three championships in eight years and having the Spurs right there for a fourth, he has to be right up there," the former Boston Celtics star said. "The thing about him is he's not flashy. He just goes out and plays."

From Sid Hartman:
Jerry Sichting, who served on the Timberwolves coaching staff under Flip Saunders, will return to coach on Witt-man's staff. Sichting served as a college assistant at Marquette last year.
Wittman is keeping two members of last year's staff, Bob Ociepka and Rex Kalamian, and will add one other coach.

Mike Seely/Seattle Weekly on candidates for the Seattle coaching position:
Let's hope the same logic that led the Supes to Presti applies to the selection of the team's floor general, and let's hope that logic leads them to the energetic Casey, a beloved former Sonic assistant who got canned in Minnesota despite leading Kevin Garnett and a cavalry of overmatched turd burgers to a .500 record at the midway point in the ultra-tough Western Conference (the T'Wolves sputtered badly after Casey's dismissal).
