Wolves Updates 6/19

Scottie Pippen is apparently in town and staying pretty close to Target Center. Someone please tell me it's not because he's working out for the team...

From Kent Youngblood/Star Tribune:
Timberwolves coach Randy Wittman has completed his coaching staff by hiring former Gophers forward J.B. Bickerstaff.

From Henry/True Hoop:
A couple of very smart people -- including one with some inside knowledge -- told me over the last few weeks that when the Kevin Garnett-to-Boston rumors start appearing, to take them a little more seriously than the vast majority of trade rumors.

Which means, like all trades, it probably won't happen. But don't dismiss it entirely.

From Charley Walters/Pioneer Press:
Despite rumors, Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said there are no plans to trade Kevin Garnett and that he'll remain with the team next season.

Billy McKinney said Monday from Seattle that he'll return as the Timberwolves' radio analyst next season. He'll also conduct a basketball camp July 16-20 at Bloomington.

From Sam Rubenstein/SLAM Online:
