Foye on Friday's workouts

Al Thornton, Corey Brewer, Julian Wright, and Thaddeus Young were the draft prospects working out for the Wolves at the Target Center today.

From Jon Krawczynski/AP Sports:
Foye was one of several current Timberwolves who attended the workout, and had no trouble identifying the one guy who stood out.

"No brainer. The kid, Thornton, from Florida State," said Foye, who was essentially handed the starting point guard spot on Thursday when the team traded veteran Mike James to Houston for Juwan Howard. "He's a beast. He plays really hard, and he's aggressive."

Mike Trudell at the Wolves site also has an update on today's workout:
Of the four workouts conducted by Minnesota leading up to the June 28th NBA Draft, Friday's featured the most impressive collection of talent to date. All four players are athletic, long (between 6-7 and 6-9) and versatile -- three of the favorite buzz words for talent evaluators.

And things were getting fierce. Real fierce.

"I asked Corey if they wanted to (stop), and he said, 'No, let's keep going,'" said Hoiberg. "That's the kind of competitors those guys are. They are winners, all four of them. They all bring something different and something unique."
