Monday's workouts and draft rumors

Andy Katz/ESPN on the rumor that the Wolves gave Spencer Hawes a guarantee with their 7th pick:
That was a rumor in Europe at the big man camp. I don't believe that is true. If it were then he wouldn't have struggled with the decision.

ESPN on Jeff Green:
The Bucks (No. 6), Timberwolves (seventh), Bobcats (eighth), Bulls (ninth), Kings (10th) and Sixers (12th) also have interest in selecting Green.

You can watch video of Friday's workouts here.

The following players worked out for the Wolves on Monday:
Minnesota State, Mankato guard Luke Anderson; Virginia Tech forward Coleman Collins; University of Iowa guard Adam Haluska; Australian guard Brad Newley; Purdue forward Carl Landry and Syracuse forward Demetris Nichols.

Coach Wittman on Anderson:
"We thought it was a good idea to try to bring him in here and take a look at him to see down the road, maybe in a summer league or somewhere, if he might be able to fit in," Timberwolves coach Randy Wittman said. "This is always a tough setting to come into, especially for the first time, and get matched up in a one-on-one, two-on-two setting. He competed hard and did a nice job."

Anderson on trying out for the team:
"I knew I had to work real hard that last week to get in shape. I just worked on my shooting. And it's dream come true just to be on this court and to put this t-shirt on," he said, referring to the Timberwolves logo on his chest.

This was Anderson's only workout so far for an NBA team.
