Updates Part II

Click here for an MPR interview with Britt Robson on the Garnett trade rumors.

From Paul Coro/The Arizona Republic:
The Garnett scenario is deemed a long shot because sending Amaré Stoudemire to the Timberwolves is not an option.

From Jonathan Givony/Draft Express:
As we exclusively reported on our podcast last week, the Timberwolves definitely seem to be leaning towards Spencer Hawes. They would also strongly consider Corey Brewer of Jeff Green, but Hawes seems to be their man.

Kare 11 has a Wolves draft prognosis.

From the AP:
Former NBA All-Star Vin Baker, whose 14-year career was marred by bouts of depression and alcoholism, was charged early Tuesday with drunken driving after leaving a casino.

From SBR Forum.com:
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Marko Jaric was the the center of attention on Monday as newly-appointed Serbia coach Zoran Slavnic gathered his first Blues squad to prepare for this year's FIBA EuroBasket in Spain.

Jaric, who missed the FIBA World Championship last year and looked to have fallen out of favor after their failure at EuroBasket 2005, was unable to hide his joy at being back in the fold.

"It is great to be back," Jaric said...

Coach Wittman on adding John-Blair Bickerstaff as an assistant:
"I'm excited that we were able to bring J.B. back to the Timberwolves," Wittman said. "As a young assistant who comes from a great basketball background, he'll add a lot to our staff and I'm looking forward to working with him."
