Wolves Updates 1/10

KG on Mark Blount:
"I'm grateful for him. He's playing well," said perennial All-Star power forward Kevin Garnett, sounding as starved for a reliable big man as statistics have suggested over the years.

Coach Casey on the team's recent wins:
"We have gotten better on defense," Casey said. "That has been the difference."

KFAN's Chad Hartman interviewed assistant coach Randy Wittman yesterday afternoon (click here to listen) while Rashad McCants was on later in the evening with Sludge & Lake (click here to listen).

Both Wittman and McCants weighed in on when the latter was expected to return. McCants said he had his first "full go" practice and thought it would be at least a week and a half before he'd start playing again. Wittman was more cautious, saying that it'd be hard to determine a return date until McCants was able to practice in full with no restrictions on what he could do.

John Hollinger/ESPN lists the 10 worst moves of the offseason. Phoenix's signing of Marcus Banks tops the list. Mike James coming to Minnesota gets an honorable mention:
Mike James (four years, $23 million) seems like an uber-sized bust until you remember he's taking the place of Marcus Banks and makes similar money.
