Garnett- Western Conference Player of the Week

The Washington Wizards’ Gilbert Arenas and the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Kevin Garnett today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Jan. 1, through Sunday, Jan. 7.

Garnett averaged 27.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 blocks in helping Minnesota to a 4-0 week. He registered a season-high 32 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the Timberwolves’ 102-96 win at Charlotte on Jan. 1, and posted 27 points, 17 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks in a 103-101 overtime win over San Antonio on Jan. 3.
