Garnett to Phoenix a "hard-sell"

Paul Coro/The Arizona Republic on the ESPN report of Garnett's interest in playing for the Suns:

League sources still painted a Garnett-to-Phoenix deal as nearly impossible, although the Suns remain interested and Minnesota continues to push a Garnett deal with teams like never before.

Coro lists the Suns unwillingness to deal Amare Stoudemire as a sticking point in a potential trade. He also writes that if Shawn Marion were to be brought into the mix, a third team would probably have to be involved. Though Boston is interested, two sources said that Marion's agent "squashed the idea" of his client playing for the Celtics.

Another issue Coro brings up is the potential problems Garnett's salary would create in terms of Phoenix's luxury tax.
