Wolves Updates 2/9

The Shins loved the Wolves claws. The band kicked off their tour last night in Minneapolis and begged to keep the claws as a souvenir of the first show.

Rashad McCants on being back in the lineup:
"You feel like you've still got it, that it never really left. And then you get out on the court and you feel it," said McCants, who has played in the Wolves' past five games. "You have to get readjusted to how fast things go. That will come from playing, getting comfortable on the floor."

Coach Wittman says tonight's game in Memphis is "another test" for the team:
"I'm anticipating what I saw (Wednesday) night," Wittman said. "They came out (in Thursday's practice) with good intensity and good focus. I'd be a little concerned if we went through the motions. I anticipate we'll get after them."

From Sid Hartman:
Flip Saunders, the former Timberwolves coach now with the Pistons, said his contract problem with Wolves owner Glen Taylor has been resolved.

Brent Haskins and Bob Thornton talk about their job as the team's advance scouts.
