Updates Part II

Trent Hassell on Eddie Griffin and his suspension:
"You've always got to worry about somebody like that," Hassell said. "He's gone through a lot. He's a great guy — he's a young guy. There are a lot of things he's dealing with. He's like a brother to us."

The Lakers' Ronny Turiaf on his heart surgery:
"When you go through something like that, you've got to have somebody to talk to,'' Turiaf said. "It was the same thing with me and (former Minnesota guard) Fred Hoiberg. If I didn't have him, it would have been so tough for me to go through it on a daily basis."

Mark Madsen talks about the kind of questions he gets asked by the media. On the one he gets asked the most:
"I've got three. How's Shaq feeling? How's Kobe feeling? And … How's KG feeling? That's from reporters and people in everyday life."

Chris Herrington/Beyond the Arc on yesterday's game and Randy Foye:
Foye was mediocre, which, again is no great indictment at this point. But even though he still has a chance to be a very good player -- an All-Star even, who knows? -- you only need to watch him for about 5 minutes to see that the Dwyane Wade comparisons are WAY off. This guy just isn't that caliber an athlete.

Rick Alonzo/Pioneer Press on last night's win at Memphis.

Grizzlies interim coach Tony Barone Sr on KG:
"Garnett is a superstar," Barone said. "You expect superstars to get it done and he did."

Mike Trudell/Timberwolves site talks to assistant coach Kalamian about tonight's game against the Nets.
