Wolves Updates 1/12

From Jon Krawczynski /AP:
The day after his worst performance of his first season, Foye said he wasn't worried.
"After the game was over with last night, everything was over with," Foye said after practice. "I came in here today, new day, worked on my weaknesses, keep doing what I was doing before that made me good and made me score points in this league. That's it. The rest is history."

Sid Hartman on Chris Webber:
...Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said the team would join others in trying to land the former Michigan star once the 48-hour waiver period is over.

The Wolves also are one of several teams interested in trading for Clippers guard Corey Maggette...

Coach Casey on Bracey Wright:
"He's a shooter, he's an NBA shooter -- there's no question about that," said Casey of Wright, who got six important points Wednesday. "... If we need shooting, I don't hesitate to go to Bracey because I have confidence in his shooting."

From Kent Youngblood/Star Tribune, Coach Casey on Mike James:
"You have to go with a veteran guy like that," Casey said. "He's a shooter. He's proven he can do it. We will stick with him."

Coach Casey on Foye and James' performance in the loss to the Clippers:
"They had some good looks," Casey said. "It was just one of those nights where they didn't make those shots. We had point-blank layups on a couple of them. For us to be successful, we have to have productivity out of that position, and we need both of those guys playing at a high level."

Kelly Dwyer/SI.com names Garnett to his All-Defensive team and chooses Trent Hassell for his second team.

Fourth returns of the NBA All-Star balloting- Garnett leads all Western conference forwards.
