Considering last season's dismal road record (9-32), the Wolves started off their road trip on the right foot with a win over the Nuggets in Denver last night. The Nuggets outscored the Wolves each quarter but the Wolves took the lead late in the 4th quarter.Box Score

Garnett had 27 points and 15 rebounds. Craig Smith's performance was also impressive. The second round pick had 20 points in 16 minutes.
Garnett on his play late in the game:
"[Coach Dwane] Casey has understood from Day One that come the fourth quarter, I'm going to make the decisions," said Garnett, who scored nine points in a late 10-0 run that boosted his club from a 104-99 deficit to a 109-104 lead. "If he doesn't like it, we'll have a conversation. But me and Case are always on the same page. He gives me the freedom to go out there and quarterback, be like the Peyton Manning of the team.
