Wolves Updates 6/24

From Charley Walters/Pioneer Press:
People who know say the Timberwolves have received trade inquiries for Kevin Garnett from more teams than just the oft-reported Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics. And regardless of whether Garnett is traded by NBA draft time on Thursday, the Wolves are planning on making at least one other deal.

Word is a Wolves-Suns deal that would feature Garnett for Amare Stoudemire has stalled but is still in the works...

Walters also writes:
-Owner Glen Taylor plans to leave for his honeymoon in China on Tuesday, two days before the draft.
-Taylor doubts the team will trade Garnett this year, but
"word is Garnett doesn't feel the same."

Trent Hassell on the trade rumors:
I know some of us are going to be gone. But KG leaving, that would be sad.

Sixers GM Billy King said he has talked to the Wolves, "but not about Garnett."
...King is concentrating more on Minnesota's draft pick, which would put the Sixers in the mix to select Georgetown's Jeff Green, Yi Jianlian from China or Washington's Spencer Hawes.

Kent Youngblood/Star Tribune on how the team analyzes draft prospects.

Eric Pincus/Hoopsworld thinks Garnett going to the Lakers is "just farfetched at this point."

Amare Stoudemire with his thoughts on the possibility of playing with Garnett:
I don't know if that's possible, but it would definitely be an honor to play with him. He's a great player. I'm not really in the loop. I'm just focusing on basketball.
