Kevin McHale on the team's newest draft picks:
"We figured two Gators are better than one," he said Friday at an introductory press conference for Kevin Garnett's newest teammates.

Brewer said he was "extremely happy" on learning Richard, his former college teammate, was also coming to Minnesota.

"We even have our same cell phone plan together," Brewer said, eliciting a roar from the media audience. "When we came to the same place, I was like, 'I can keep my cell phone plan."'

From Rick Alonzo/Pioneer Press:
"What stands out with these two guys is not only their ability to be good basketball players, but their character and how they play together and accept each other; that's how a team becomes a team," Wittman said. "We're thrilled to death to have those guys."

Brewer and Richard both proved in college that winning was their foremost concern.

From Kent Youngblood/Star Tribune:
Both will be on the Wolves' team at the upcoming summer league in Las Vegas. There they will play with, among others, 2005 first-round pick Rashad McCants as well as Foye and Smith. Let the chemistry experiment begin.

"We'll have a group of guys who will be on the team who will be playing together [in the upcoming season]," Wittman said. "These guys are the future of this team, how they get to know each other and interact, that's going to be an advantage for us."
