Pioneer Press: Marko Jaric requests a trade

From Rick Alonzo/Pioneer Press:
Veteran guard Marko Jaric has told Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor he is unhappy and wants to be traded.

Jaric met with Taylor at Target Center after Wednesday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers to discuss his role on the team and requested a trade, according to a source close to the team.

Asked about Jaric's trade request, Taylor said through team spokesman Mike Cristaldi, "That's not what we talked about." Taylor declined to elaborate on the meeting.

Jaric's agent Bill Duffy on the player's conversation with Taylor:
"I'm certain it was in a respectful tone and was received in a respectful tone," Duffy said. "I think the basis of it was Marko was just curious with his situation and he had a comfort level with Mr. Taylor. There was nothing of an aggressive nature like that (a trade request). Obviously Marko is frustrated. That's not a secret."

Tom Powers/Pioneer Press with his thoughts on Jaric:
Jaric is another Kevin McHale Special. Which is to say he's been not just a bust but an expensive bust. It soon became apparent that he was not the answer at point guard. He has been complaining ever since he was demoted. Surely he'll do better somewhere else.
