Wolves Updates 3/1

The Onion has some fun at the expense of KG:
"To me, there is no feeling quite like losing. I've always said that losing is the most important thing, and I feel like I can lose in Minnesota this year as well as for years to come," Garnett said. "Sure, I might have a better chance of losing in Memphis or Milwaukee, but it would just be more special to lose in front of the fans in Minnesota."

Coach Wittman is scheduled to be on KFAN today at 2:20pm.

Marko Jaric after Wednesday's loss to Dallas:
"Mentally we are not [going] in the right direction," said Jaric, who talked after the game about the team needing to find its pride.

"I still believe this team has a lot of qualities, and we can get one of the last playoff spots. .... We need to find ourselves if we want to go and try to beat somebody else."

The Star Tribune compiles a list of some of the team's worst statistical efforts.

From Charley Walters/Pioneer Press:
Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said this week that his wayward team is not for sale. But at least two of his 14 limited partners have expressed an interest in cashing out.
That's fine with Taylor, who doesn't believe he would have a problem replacing them. He has a substantial California investor in waiting.

Wally Szczerbiak will miss the rest of the season because of upcoming surgery on his ankle.
