Wolves Over The Weekend
The Boston Globe talks to Wally Szczerbiak who says that it wouldn't surprise him if Garnett were traded:``KG has a burning desire to win. He desperately wants to win a title," Szczerbiak said. ``And if he can't do it in Minnesota, then he'll want to try and do it elsewhere.
``Looking at the situation there now, I think there's more of a chance than when I was there. KG can't play forever."
Hartman says the Wolves are "no doubt" looking to unload Marko Jaric and his big contract.
The Minnesota Lynx's Tamika Williams asks KG for help:
"I begged him to help me get on the list for that white Louis Vuitton that Jessica Simpson was wearing. He told me to ask his wife." She did, and that overpriced carryall now sits in her closet with around 30 others.
From The Pioneer Press:
Coach Casey talked to free-agent Marcus Banks and "was left with the impression" that remaining with the Wolves was one of his top choices.
Tix to the Lynx (seeing Seimone Augustus play seems more exciting than watching the Wolves of late last season) and a meeting with McHale and Hoiberg are being offered as incentives to season ticket holders to renew for next year.
Currently a consultant, Rob Babcock eventually will become a full-time employee again for the club.
Marbury ain't coming back.
